Peer Support Specialist & Recovery Coach Training

824 North Bloodworth Street, Raleigh, NC

RCNC Presents the 2nd cohort of our Certified Recovery-Focused
Peer Support training in Wake County beginning in March 2020.
This curriculum is the first of its kind in the state of North
Carolina with the primary focus being on recovery from
substance use disorders. There is also a significant amount of
material in the curriculum which will cover co-occurring mental
health conditions and its connection to substance use
disorders.
We believe those who take this training will be better able to be
of service as Peer Support Specialists to those struggling with
addiction and will be more aware of their own needs for selfcare and support.
RCNC will be providing this state of the art training over 5 weeks,
one day a week on Fridays. The training will take place in one of
our training rooms from 9am – 4pm. There will be signage to
direct you to our entrance.
The training dates are as follows:
March 13th, March 20th, March 27th, April 3rd, and April 10th.
The acceptance process into the training program has
changed. We are now requiring that every potential
participant complete the online application ASAP.
Once your application is approved, you will receive a
call from RCNC to review your application and be
vetted for appropriateness. There will be no fee for
this particular cohort training, thanks to the support,
generosity and a grant provided by Wake County
Department of Public Health.
All attendees will be need to have completed the
Recovery Coach Academy or plan to shortly thereafter
this training. It is a requirement for certification that
you take both this CPSS training AND RCNCs (CCAR)
Recovery Coach Academy Training. To apply, fill out
the online form at: RCNC.org/training/psst.html
